After racking and dry hopping this beer is tasting sensational even with the 15 gms of Sapphire dry hopping. I also lost a few more points. In c/c fot the past 72 hrs, will keg it to-nite.
The other/same beer I made has been racked onto some centennial and is finishing up the remainding sugaz.I hit all my numbers with the second, so I will be interested to see any significant difference between the 2 because of watering the first one down and the different dry hopping.
Brewed the same beer on Sunday using a cup of the slurry of this beer. Big note to oneself> dont use Sapphire hops in place of American hops.... dry hopping.
Stepped the temp up the last few days. I like the sample out of the jar as far as style guidelines go, although hop assertiveness can be one end of the scale for some and the other end for others...
Going to brew the same beer tomorrow, rack this one onto a little hop tea then steal a bit of slurry and away we go again!!! FISHING!! The guy`s will love it.
Brewed today in between jobs and the snow storms in Berwick ATM :-)
Not a preferred style but tried hard. Chilled thru the plate and reduced to 19 deg, pitched a real fresh 1st gen 1272 starter and all looks good. Overshot the o/g due to a little less volume in the fermenter but I`ll water it down later with gelatine and hop tea ;-)
