Comments:
+0.5gms CaCl ph to 5 +0.5gms CaCO3 ph to 5.5 Was a tad on the bitter side and a bit darker than expected. Think it is going to be a lot more extreme than the Gippsland Gold Clone I was aimning for. Might even have to water it down a bit and put a bit of DME into to even the balance up. Will let it ferment out and see.

| Sun October 11, 2009 09:19 | Still pretty insipid. Was going to bottle it tonight, but decided instead to add some extra late hops. Another 15gms or super pride using the hop tea (french press) method. Still nothing like Gipsland Gold ( that I was also drinking tonight ) but still better than it was before. |

Tasted again today with Ian, and was given the thumbs up. Still did not turn out as intended, but an OK drinking beer none the less. |

Force carbonated a small bottle and tasting pretty ordinary at this stage. Still has yeast in suspension and not without promise. Nothing like Gippsland Gold though. Came across as quite bitter, and a load of hops in the after taste, but not much up front. Some of the 1968 is also starting to show through, but no reflection not really appropriate for this style. |
