Mash-in 15L @ 37 degC
Heat to 50 degC
Rest 20 min Decoct 1/3 of 15L saucepan, mostly grains
Heat to 72 degC
Rest 15 minutes
Heat decoction to boil
Boil for 35 minutes, while stirring
Transfer decoction to mash Heat mash to 63 degC
Rest 20 minutes
Heat to 73 degC
Rest 15 minutes
Heat to 76 degC
Rest 10 minutes
Transfer mash to esky for sparge Sparge
1st sparge 6L, directly into mash
2nd sparge 11 + 3 L Boil
Ended up with 27 Litres in kettle.
30 grams halletau at start of boil
After 30 minutes boil, added 3 litres water to dilute
Two boil stages (ran out of gas in first tank)
1st stage 30 minutes
2nd stage 30 minutes Ended up wiht 23 Litres wort in fermenter @ 1.057
