All I can say is, what a disaster.

From 2.5 hr mash to 55% efficiency, it was never going to end well.

Add to that block mash tun, so had to pull the whole mash out clean out the tun, then put it back in again.

I have so much break material that can not even pitch tonight, so now add higher infection risk to the list.

Sun January 24, 2010 22:30	Rating: 30 Age at tasting: 25 days	Alcohol is starting to become a little more noticable now, and slight acetone note creeping in.
Fri January 15, 2010 20:35	Rating: 42 Age at tasting: 16 days	What can I say, out of great testing comes great triumph. This is definitely my favorite brew of the last 12 months. I don't even care if its nothing like the original. Lots of clove, with some banana, blending perfectly with complex malt and appreciable alcohol.
Thu January 07, 2010 01:04	Rating: 38 Age at tasting: 8 days	Tried again last night and is getting better. Hopefully the kegged version is as good as the early bottle conditioned ones.
Fri January 01, 2010 12:10	Rating: 35 Age at tasting: 2 days	Tried this last night even though it had only been conditioning for 48hrs. Came up surprisingly well, even though it probably still had some residual sugar in it.

Wed December 30, 2009 21:30	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.011, Temp[C (F)]: 19.00 (66.20), Atten: 86.59%, ABV: 9.52%	Kegged beer today although it may still be fermenting. Want to try and halt it before it goes way too low.
Wed December 30, 2009 09:05	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.014, Temp[C (F)]: 18.50 (65.30), Atten: 83.27%, ABV: 9.15%	Think this one is just about done. Will put into a keg for conditioning.
Mon December 28, 2009 12:45	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.016, Temp[C (F)]: 19.00 (66.20), Atten: 80.91%, ABV: 8.89%	Tasting pretty good now, has dried out a fair bit now.
Sat December 26, 2009 07:32	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.023, Temp[C (F)]: 19.00 (66.20), Atten: 71.40%, ABV: 7.85%	Primary well and truely over now. Alcohol is a little hot.
Wed December 23, 2009 23:32	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.032, Temp[C (F)]: 19.50 (67.10), Atten: 60.95%, ABV: 6.70%	Bit more sulfur now, but tasting really balanced with the cloves and banana esters.
Tue December 22, 2009 19:45	Gravity reading[SG]: 1.043, Temp[C (F)]: 19.50 (67.10), Atten: 47.06%, ABV: 5.17%	Up temp to 19.5C today. Already showing some great weizen character and that is from starting to ferment very cold (15C was the pitching temp). Can already start to taste some of the alcohol too.
