Interestingly with the split batches, ones is really cloudy and looks unfinished ( the one I tried really hard to keep the trub out of ) and the other lot has cleared right up and has about twice the yeast ( the one I put 90 % of the trub in and did not bother cleaning up ). |

Although was tasting just after brushing teeth, so not really a good indication. Definitely has some appreciable bitterness, but really needs that last lot of hops to round it out. Will add in another day or two now that fermentation is starting to taper off. |
| Sun January 24, 2010 22:35 | Fermentation kicked off after about 12hrs, and is now fermenting very quickly. Expect that this one will be done in another couple of days. |

Getting much better now. I am still not a big fan of these hops though. Has lost all the vegetale issues and is drop dead clear. |

Wow this beer is really changing fast, and in a good way. That nasty vegettal aftertaste has almost completely gone. Crystal malts starting to come through, and the bitterness is starting to come across as a lot more integrated. Might be worth keeping yet. |

Very green at the moment and not very pleasant ... think this one is going to have to age for a couple of months. |
