Recipe calculator
The recipe calculator is the place where you start when you want to make a beer. Either create a new recipe, or brew one that someone has already made available from the recipe list. You have to be a registered user to create or clone a recipe.
The recipe calculator is similar to most other recipe calculators with the following exceptions:
- All fermentable values are stored as the gravity contribution, not the weight. If you change the recipe volume or expected efficiency values, the weight will automatically adjust to give you the same gravity contribution.
- Hops are stored as IBU contribution per liter. Again this means the weight will change if you update the recipe batch volume and/or change the IBU calculation method to/from either Tinseth or Ragger.
Once the recipe has been selected that you wish to brew, the next step is to press the Brew button and create a brewlog.
